Tour requirements for developers
What every tour you add to Mizan must meet, what Mizan checks, and how your team hosts live tours. Buyers see a tour only after Mizan has checked it.
How it works
Your private upload link
Mizan sends your team a link that works for your company’s projects only. It expires, and Mizan can switch it off at any time. Keep it inside your team.
Add each tour
Choose the project and what the tour shows, paste the link to the video, and say whether it’s real footage or a render and which month it was recorded.
Mizan checks it
Each tour is approved, or you’re told why not. Approved tours appear on the project’s page on Mizan and on its listings.
Live tours, if you host them
On the same page, tell Mizan who on your team hosts live tours and when. Mizan approves the setup before buyers can book.
Where the video must live
- RequiredOn your own account on YouTube (360° video too), Vimeo, Matterport or Kuula. Mizan plays these inside its pages. A link to any other https page is shown to buyers as a link only.
- RequiredPublic or unlisted, with embedding allowed. A private or deleted video, or one that can’t be embedded, is refused automatically.
- RequiredIt opens for anyone, with no sign-in or password: no password-protected Matterport spaces, and no Google Drive, Dropbox or WhatsApp files.
- RequiredPublished by your company’s official channel or account, or your agency’s on your behalf. Mizan’s reviewer sees which channel published each video.
- RequiredIt stays online. If a video is taken down or made private, Mizan removes the tour.
- Not allowedMizan doesn’t accept video files: upload the video to one of the services above and send the link.
What each tour must say
- RequiredThe project it shows, from your projects on Mizan. A project that isn’t listed yet can be named; Mizan adds it before it gets its own page.
- RequiredWhat it shows, one place per tour:The unit itselfShow unitBuilding & lobbyViewsClubhouseLandscape & gardensGolf courseMarinaBeach & lagoonsPoolsSports & gymKids’ areasRetail & diningOffices & medical buildingsMasterplan & aerialConstruction progressSurroundings & roadsOther
- RequiredReal footage or a render. Anything computer-made (CGI, animation, AI-generated images) is a render, and so is a video that mixes the two. Buyers see “Computer render, not footage of the built place”.
- RequiredThe month it was recorded, or made, for a render. Buyers see it.
- RequiredA show unit is labelled as one; buyers see “Show unit, not a specific unit for sale”. If a unit isn’t built yet, the tour is of the show unit or the site, labelled that way.
- RecommendedA plain title that says what it shows (“Walk from the clubhouse to the lagoon”), not a claim (“The best view in New Cairo”). Unit type and details (bedrooms, m²) help buyers.
What must not be in a tour
- Not allowedPrices, payment plans, discounts or offers, on screen, in the title or spoken. They go out of date, and Mizan shows a price only with a source and a date.
- Not allowedAnother developer’s project, or stock footage of places that aren’t in the project.
- Not allowedAnyone recognisable (residents, staff, children) who didn’t agree to be filmed: blur them or leave them out.
- Not allowedAnything you don’t have the rights to, including the music.
Quality
- RecommendedVideo: 1080p (Full HD) or better, landscape (16:9), steady (a gimbal or stabiliser), in daylight, without heavy filters.
- Recommended360° video: uploaded to YouTube as a 360° video, so buyers can look around.
- Recommended360° photos on Kuula: full panoramas. Matterport: a fully processed space covering every room the tour shows.
- RequiredAerial footage: filmed with the permits Egyptian law requires for drones.
- RecommendedShort and complete, one place per tour: about 1–3 minutes for a place, up to about 5 for a unit.
What your team confirms with every tour
- RequiredWe own this footage or have the right to publish it, including the music.
- RequiredIt’s from our official channel or account, and it shows the project and place we chose.
- RequiredAnyone recognisable in it agreed to be filmed.
- RequiredIt shows no prices, payment plans or offers.
What Mizan checks, and what happens next
- RequiredAutomatically: the link; that a YouTube, Vimeo or Matterport video exists and can be embedded (Kuula and other links are checked by the reviewer); duplicates; at most 60 tours a day per upload link.
- RequiredBy a person: that it comes from your official channel, shows the project and place you chose, and is labelled correctly.
- RequiredApproved: it appears on the project’s page on Mizan and on its listings (within about an hour), with its labels: real footage or render, the month, and “Supplied by” your company. A player loads only when a buyer presses Play.
- RequiredNot approved: your upload page shows the reason. Fix it and send it again.
- RequiredMizan can remove a tour at any time: a broken link, a change to the project, or a complaint. Ask Mizan to take one down and it will.
Live tours: hosting them
- RequiredA team name buyers see (for example “Emaar Misr sales team”), and a contact for Mizan only: a phone number or email that reaches whoever arranges tours. Buyers never see it.
- RequiredThe days and hours you can take tours (Cairo time), and the languages.
- RequiredLive video, in person, or both. A video tour runs on WhatsApp video or Google Meet; Mizan confirms the time and how to join with the buyer and your team.
- RequiredOnly places you can actually show during those hours.
- RecommendedOn site: a phone with a steady 4G/5G or Wi-Fi connection, a stabiliser and a charged battery. For in-person tours, a clear meeting point in the note.
- RequiredDuring the tour: start on time and show what the buyer asked to see. If something isn’t built yet, say so and show the show unit or the site. Quote prices and payment plans only from your current official price list.
- RequiredPrivacy: the buyer agreed to share their name and number with your team for this tour only. Use them only for it, and don’t add them to marketing lists without their separate consent (Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law).
- RequiredAfter the tour: tell Mizan the same day whether the buyer came or didn’t show. It’s recorded on their enquiry.
- RequiredChanges: send new days or hours from your upload page before they change. Mizan approves every setup before buyers can book, and until then the project shows no live tours.
